Do you want to know you many calories you burned doing housework? Or jogging? Find out the calorie expenditure rates for many activities here.

There are two caveats:

  1. The exact amount of calories depends on many factors. If you have more muscles, you burn more calories than someone who has more fat. Age is also a factor. See this list as an estimate, and as a helpful way to compare activities.
  2. If you burned 450 calories doing aerobics, this does not mean you can eat an extra 450 calories. If you had not done any aerobics, you would also have burned calories. You will have to subtract those calories from the 450, to find out the extra amount of calories you burned.
